Hailing from his triumphant performance with the New York Philharmonic, Dasol Kim is one of the most exciting pianists to emerge onto international spotlight. Widely lauded by the press for his astounding interpretations, he captivates the audience with remarkable tone and utmost clarity.

Dasol Kim frequents with some of the world’s finest orchestras as a soloist, including the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Berlin Chamber Orchestra, MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, Concerto Budapest, and Belgium National Orchestra. He performs regularly with such notable conductors including Marin Alsop, Myung-Whun Chun, Lawrence Foster, Alan Gilbert, Michael Sanderling, and David Zinman.

Regularly invited to perform at prestigious music festivals around the world, Dasol Kim partners to perform with exceptional musicians including Gautier Capuçon, David Geringas, Lawrence Lesser among others; notable festivals include La roque d’Antheron in France, Kissinger Sommer in Germany, Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland and Great Mountain Music Festival in Korea.

Praised for his splendid interpretations of solo piano works, in 2015 his debut recording on Deutsche Grammophon was released, featuring various solo works by Robert Schumann. Dasol Kim is engaged to perform the complete cycle of the 32 Piano Sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven in Switzerland and Korea. Future concert engagements include numerous performances across the globe in the USA, Europe and Asia. His musical development has been influenced by Gerald Fauth and Arie Vardi. In 2020 he joined Trio Marvin as its new pianist. Dasol Kim resides in Berlin and teaches at Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig.
